Fjällräven’s Greenland No 1 Down Jacket is the Swedish brand’s classic jacket, made for the chilly days of autumn and winter. The company based the design on its original Greenland Jacket from 1968. One big difference is that this version has leather details on the hood and sleeves. Featuring fluorocarbon-free impregnation and organic, recycled, and traceable 800 Cuin down, the jacket is 65 percent recycled polyester and 35 percent organic cotton, with a zippered inside pocket and hand pockets that have hidden buttons.
The Fjällräven Greenland No 1 Down Jacket boasts a lining made from recycled polyester to strengthen its sustainability profile. And it provides a durable, insulating, water and wind-resistant G-1000 Eco outer layer, guaranteed to last for years. Not only that, but using Greenland Wax adapts the G-1000 fabric for different weather conditions and activities. By adding more wax, it increases the fabric’s water and wind resistance. And using the Greenland Wax can help extend the jacket’s life. Simply wash the wax out when the weather is warmer to create a cooler, more breathable jacket. Finally, the Fjällräven Greenland No 1 Down Jacket does not require dry cleaning. Regular washing on normal, with no bleach, and a tumble dry on low is best to care for it. Also, using a leather balm on it regularly will keep those details looking sharp.
