GMC has released a teaser trailer announcing the upcoming all-electric Sierra Denali pickup truck. This teaser gives us a glimpse of the electric truck’s face expressing a beaming GMC emblem surrounded by an illuminated grille with L-shaped headlights. It leaves a sharp impression that pokes our curiosity. This new pickup truck will be the third EV in GMC’s lineup alongside the Hummer EV pickup and SUV variant. All three vehicles share the same GM Ultium platform using next-gen battery architecture built at General Motors’ Factory Zero plant in Detroit, Michigan. No significant details have been released at this time. However, we can confirm that the GMC Sierra Denali EV unveiling will be in early 2022. Moreover, the Chevrolet Silverado EV is scheduled to premiere at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show on January 5, 2022. That means the GMC Sierra EV can’t be far behind.
One key detail that is safe to assume about the electric Sierra Denali is it will boast GMC’s latest interior luxury technology. In addition, we expect the Sierra Denali to be generously proportioned in size and offer a Cadillac-sized frunk (front trunk). When these GM electric pickup trucks hit the market, the Ford F-150 Lightning EV will have a familiar rival to run parallel to into the next phase in automotive evolution.
