Shedding the standard Mavic branding in support of a more condensed name scheme, the DJI Air 2S is the newest mid-range consumer market drone launched by the DJI brand. This latest model enjoys some significant improvements as well, most specifically the 1-inch type sensor camera with 5.4K resolution. There is also a new Fly More combo feature that includes a charging hub, two additional batteries, and three ND filters. Since the Fly More feature is a common add-on purchase, its inclusion in the DJI Air 2S combo option should please many users.
In addition to other standard features of the drone, the DJI Air 2S also includes MasterShots software that allows users to create a highlight reel of any given landmark through the utilization of customized automated shots. In addition, users will be impressed with the upgrade of the Active Track technology to the ActiveTrack 4.0 system, which allows for more accurate and faster tracking. While the claimed flight time of the Air 2S is 31 minutes, in real-life flight time with typical conditions, users can expect the actual flight time to be around 25 minutes, which is still impressive. Operators state that the handling of the DJI Air 2S drone is similar to other drones of its size. It is considered fairly easy to fly thanks to its obstacle avoidance feature, which helps pilots avoid hitting things when getting the hang of drone flight.
