Discommon stated that they were never going to produce one of those slim wallets when they first dreamed up their card wallet. Yet after an encounter with the design gurus at VENN in Hong Kong they discovered a way to incorporate a slimmer card silhouette in a laminated, thermoformed leather. Their plan to not make a slim card wallet went completely out the window.
With this new thermoformed leather design Discommon can be both stunningly simple yet strikingly bold. On the outside what looks like a minimalist leather fold with sleek perforations, hides an incredibly detailed and engineered design. There are no bulky stitches in the leather of this wallet. Everything is held together by a thermal lamination, reducing its weight and volume. The wallet is constructed entirely out of a lush Italian calf hide, its edges tapered off or creased into a fold. Inside a stylish custom gray tweed, microsuede keeps cards secure and safe.
