There are many ways to earn enough money to afford a mansion in Malibu. One way, according to designer James Perse, is by selling t-shirts, albeit they are more than your standard cotton t-shirts, mind you. He is offering one of his three Malubu houses for sale, offered at an eye-watering $13 million, including furnishings from James Perse’ signature furniture collection.
The 7,400 sq-ft six bedroom Malibu pad is situated on two acres with a 50 ft lap pool and a two car garage. Unlike some mansions that seem to be hell bent on showing off its residents’ wealth and taste (or lack there of), the understated Malibu “farmhouse” is modern yet elegant, with neutral tones that emphasize scale and materiality. Much like his clothing line, the house is comfortable yet elegantly simple, reflecting much of his sensibility.
