Today at CES, we saw Dell unveil three new UltraSharp productivity monitors. Leading the new product lineup is the 32-inch 6K UltraSharp Monitor. Dell revealed details on its new monitor that’s got many of the same features of Apple’s Pro Display XDR and goes beyond it with a number of specs. The new Dell monitor is said to be the first in the world to include IPS Black technology. This means that it delivers advanced contrast with up to 41% deeper blacks, better color accuracy, and more.
Features that stand out when comparing this new monitor to Apple’s Studio Display or Pro Display XDR include Thunderbolt 4 connectivity that comes with a built-in I/O hub, 140W passthrough charging for MacBooks (enough to fast charge the 16-inch MacBook Pro) and other laptops, integrated 4K webcam, and even a hidden front-facing pop-out USB-A/C hub.
Not only that, but the Dell UltraSharp 32 6K Monitor boasts enhanced color accuracy, 709 color gamut, 100% Rec, 100% sRGB, and 99% DCI-P3. It also features hardware to reduce blue light emissions. With its built-in 4K HDR webcam, it includes AI auto-framing to ensure users stay in focus. Its camera can produce 4K video at 30 FPS and Full HD at 30/60 fps. What’s more, the field of view is adjustable at 65°, 78°, and 90°, and users can adjust the camera position from 0 to 20°. Additionally, this monitor provides two 14W speakers. The monitor comes with a height-adjustable stand that lets users rotate the monitor vertically. Dell hasn’t set the final release date or price, but it’s reported that the Dell UltraSharp 32 6K Monitor should ship sometime in June 2023.
