A lot of blood, sweat, and tears go into making a custom bike. It doesn’t have to be that way, but to get it right and most importantly to get the details right, it’s never easy. We knew that Death Machines of London an make a proper custom bike, but their latest takes it to a whole new level.
The DML Up Yours Copper is based on the 2007 Triumph Thruxton 900, but thoroughly reworked to DML’s exacting standards. The reconditioned 900 now wears a de-lugged frame and a completely new rear end. The custom exhaust system features ceramic coated pipes and a carbon fiber muffler, and looks like an art piece that needs to be proudly displayed in a gallery.
Another piece that deserves its own place on the mantle is the seat, which may very well be the most beautiful thing on this already stunning bike. Hand-carved from American Walnut, it’s constructed of 17 parts to maintain a consistent grain pattern while fitting to the complex curves of the rider’s form. The paint has been kept to a minimum, highlighting the materials used in the build. The list of juicy details go on and on, which is best enjoyed through the photos above.
