CRKT has recently released two premium editions of Ken Onion’s Facet folding knife – the Facet Viral and the Facet Rivet. These knives were designed by Ken Onion in Kaneohe, Hawaii, and both feature a minimalist design with a touch of extravagance.
The Facet Viral boasts a laser-engraved viral fractal pattern on the titanium handle and is made in Italy with upgraded materials over the previous CRKT version. It also features Böhler M390 blade steel for superior cutting performance, a fast-opening flipper, a strong and lightweight titanium handle, and a deep carry clip that rides low in the pocket.
On the other hand, the Facet Rivet has a laser-engraved rivet pattern on the titanium handle and is also made in Italy with upgraded materials over the previous CRKT version. It features D2 blade steel for excellent edge retention, Ken Onion’s award-winning Assisted Opening, a stainless steel handle that withstands hard use, a frame lock that utilizes a thick lock bar to secure the blade, and a deep carry clip that rides low in the pocket.
Both knives celebrate modern simplicity and were designed to be inconspicuous, allowing you to “fly under the radar.” They are built to last and are perfect for everyday carry. With their unique designs and upgraded materials, the Facet Viral and the Facet Rivet are great additions to any knife enthusiast’s collection.
