We might really be showing our age, but some of us here at IMBOLDN are old enough to remember the original home computer games of the 80s. Most covetable among them was the Commodore 64 home computer which was a revolution of color graphics, synthesizer sounds, and RAM to a formerly silent, black and white computer world.
Launched in 1982, the Commodore 64 home computer went on to sell millions of units to an entire generation. Now, more than three decades later, the Commodore 64 is back, but this time in a mini version with the C64 Mini Computer. This 50 percent scale replica of the much adored Commodore 64, plugs into contemporary televisions via its HDMI port, so that retro gamer enthusiasts and newbies alike can enjoy any of its 64 classic pre-installed games.
The C64’s new high-definition iteration will have you enthralled while playing such classics as Speedball 2, Paradroid, Hawkeye, Monty Mole, and Mission Impossible. Whether it’s sports, shooting games, puzzles, or platformers you’ll be able to find the right game to tickle your fancy from the included titles.
Yet all the loveable features of the original Commodore 64 are still there. The C64 Mini features accurate Commodore 64 operation along with pixel filter options such as sharp, CRT, and scanline emulation for more pixel perfected graphics. The same great game functions are still there for you to enjoy with the included joystick. Two USB ports offer the capability to plug in the USB keyboard and use it as a home computer or to add a second joystick for the two-player enjoyment of games.
