When a cool as hell bourbon company pairs up with a roguishly stylish motorcycle firm, only very good things can come of it. Naturally when Rebel Yell Bourbon approached Classified Moto to build a bike for their summer promotion they jumped, or rather revved their engines, at the chance.
The only limitation to the beautiful byproduct of this union was the budget, otherwise, the Classified team was able to run wild with their design inspiration. Run wild they did with the unveiling of “Frank,” a fun and fast beast of a bike. With artful burnishing and rust effects, Frank looks pleasantly worn in, with more than a few harrowing stories from the road.
Much like the classic tale of Frankenstein, Classified assembled their bike from the parts of an available Triumph Speed Triple 1050, weaving together the front end, front wheel and front brakes from the model. Next the team threw in some bits from a previous BW650 project. Yet the real pinnacle of the job was the completely custom, chromoly, single-sided swing arm for an 11-inch wide rough and ready ATV tire.
The bike blends the best and worst of design, bringing out the beauty in ugly. Like the literary reanimated monster, this Frankenstein might feel like an apparition of classic streamlined bike design, but this machine is made for the daring and dangerous.
