The chances are high that most sports fans out there are very familiar with the famous ESPN documentary “The Last Dance”. The documentary focused on the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls season, the last time Michael Jordan, Phil Jackson & company would be together as a team. Now, the Chicago Bulls Last Dance Team Playbook owned by Bulls player, Jason Caffey, is coming up for auction. Used by the players as a reference to learn the new plays for the upcoming season, this copy of the team playbook comes with a treasure trove of 1996-1998 Bulls memorabilia, as well as a letter of provenance from Jason Caffey.

Jackson, the Bulls then head coach, had a tradition of devising a theme for each season, and in 1997 it was “The Last Dance,” commemorating the team’s final season together. Along with the 27-page Last Dance Team Playbook, there is the team-issued pre-season travel schedule which offers a unique glimpse into the fast-paced life of an NBA player. Also included is a numbered commemorative coin issued after the Bulls 72-win 1995-96 season, and more archival items celebrating the success of this uniquely talented team.
