Belgium has always had a storied history in its roll in brewing distinctive Wit beers. The Celis Brewery translates that heritage for the American market. The brand began in the early 1990s with its founder Pierre bringing his original yeast strain to start a new brewery in Texas. What grew out of that first ingredient was a craft Belgian-style Wit beer that made even the most ranch hardened Texan sit up and take notice. More than two decades later and the brand is still using Pierre’s original yeast along with other high-quality ingredients to produce excellent and sippable beverages to be enjoyed on any occasion.
The Celis Raspberry Beer returns to the brewery’s stable. The brand is reintroducing its fruity beer to the market after its early 1990s heyday. This delicate yet punchy beer incorporates fresh raspberry juice with unmalted wheat, Cascade and Golding hops, and Pierre’s much loved yeast. What these premium ingredients produce is an elegantly rose-colored beer with a bouquet of fresh raspberries and citrus and a taste of raspberry sorbet. The overall finish is freshly acidic, crisp, and dry. True to the spirit of Belgian style fruit beers, the Celis Raspberry Beer is a mouthwateringly refreshing beverage that pairs perfectly with a meal or as a thirst quencher on a summer day.
