Canon’s flagship EOS-1D X has been a trusty workhorse for professional photographers and photo journalists, thanks to its speed and ability to handle tough situations. Canon finally announced the long awaited successor dubbed the EOS-1D X Mark II.
The new camera retains its predecessor’s phenomenal speed, but now with the added benefit of fast 4K video recording at up to 60 fps without losing any detail. The body remains virtually unchanged from the 1D X from 2012, which is no bad thing as there was nothing really wrong with the rugged design. For those photographer’s that have worn out their trusty workhorse and was in need of a replacement, your wait is almost over as this new model is set to release this April.
