The debut of the next-generation Mercedes-AMG GT is just around the corner. But, until then, German-based BS Teile Center has unveiled a new project under its BSTC Performance label giving the current-gen AMG GT R the ultimate tune-up. This new fire-breather uses original Mercedes-AMG parts and is the most powerful variation, making more power than the top-tier AMG GT Black Series.

BSTC Performance took exterior components from an AMG GT R Pro to give its car a facelift with new headlights and taillights. Moreover, the front bumper is redesigned with added carbon-fiber canards and sharper side sills. The rear bumper is also custom with a carbon fiber diffuser at the back. The BSTC Performance Mercedes-AMG GT R rolls on a set of forged rims wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

Under the hood, BSTC Performance tuned the factory 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 power output from 577-hp to a whopping 891-hp. This new performance ranks the BSTC AMG GT R at the top of the Mercedes-AMG GT family as the most powerful. To achieve this level of tire burning muscle, BSTC Performance upgraded the engine’s turbochargers, air-coolers, an ARMA carbon-fiber intake, and its ECU was tuned to unleash the car’s full potential. BSTC also modified the seven-speed transmission to handle the engine’s nearly 900-hp punch before sending it to the rear wheels. Unfortunately, BSTC Performance did not state what their upgrades translate to on the track, but we imagine it’s got the power to give the Black Series AMG a run for its money.
