Breakups can be devastating. That’s the underlying message in the BIRDS OF PREY Official Trailer 2, which opens with Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn breaking up with Batman’s iconic nemesis, the Joker. The change in relationship status unleashes Quinn’s fierce goddess within. Soon thereafter there’s a new man in Harley’s life — Roman Sionis. It’s a match made in hell for Harley since he and his sidekick Zsasz have it out for her and the other members of the Birds of Prey.
The trailer brings together Quinn with Black Canary, Cassandra Cain, Huntress, and Renee Montoya, all Gotham City heroines who find themselves banding together to stop the maniacal Sionis and Zsasz. The trailer makes it clear that Quinn and her madcap antics are in charge. In addition to Robbie taking the lead, BIRDS OF PREY stars Ella Jay Basco, Ewan McGregor, Chris Messina, Rosie Perez, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. The film was directed by Cathy Yan and opens on February 7.
