Bang & Olufsen has turned 90 this year. Happy birthday.
To celebrate, the company has released a line of special editions titled “Love Affair.” The company isn’t known to shy away from shocking customers with its price tag, so we can safely assume that this special collection will demand more premium than it normally does. That being said, the 1920s inspired design extends to their speakers, TVs, headphones, and remotes, which all get a lovingly refreshed hue of rose gold, which represents love.
Whether these special editions with the number 90 written with its logo is a marketing ploy or actually worth the premium, we’ll only find out in time. However, in an age when digital content and high tech gadgets rule, it is refreshing to see a historical brand look back at their own past for inspiration.
