Audi Q2 - IMBOLDN

아우디가 틈새시장이란 틈새시장은 죄다 쑤시고 다닐 계획인가 보다. Q3도 적절하게 귀엽다고 생각했는데 더 작은 소형 프리미엄 SUV Q2를 제네바 모터쇼에 출시하였다. Q3보다 작다고는 하지만 내부 공간은 생각보다 큼직해서 끼여 운전하는 것에 대한 걱정은 하지 않아도 될듯하다. 3가지 가솔린 엔진과 3가지의 디젤 엔진, 총 6개 종류의 엔진 옵션이 마련되어있고 ‘Virtual Cockpit’과 헤드업 디스플레이, MMI 내비게이션 플러스 등 자그마한 SUV 치고는 차려놓은 밥상에 이런저런 반찬들이 꽤나 푸짐하게 마련되어 있다. 점점 비좁아지는 도심 속 도로에서 크기는 작지만 큰 여유를 누릴 수 있는 아우디 Q2는 충분히 매력적으로 보인다.

Although the Geneva Motor Show is headlined by attention grabbing hypercars every year, someone has to put on their sensible hat to introduce something for us mere mortals as well. This year that task was handled by Audi, which introduces a new addition to the Q line of cars to compete in the red hot subcompact crossover market.

The Audi Q2 is described as an “urban-type vehicle for everyday driving and recreation, uniting a progressive design with a high level of functionality.” Fans of Sesame Street will quickly notice that 2 is one less than 3, which slots this car below Audi’s current smallest subcompact crossover offering, the Q3. With all-wheel-drive on offer, the compact crossover should fit in nicely with the lifestyle of urban dwellers in need of a car that has a small footprint but can do-it-all, from their weekly run to Costco to a weekend getaway to the countryside.
