LEGO has finally unveiled its SHIELD Helicarrier, a gargantuan aircraft carrier that serves as a base for the defense and intelligence agency SHIELD to protect world peace in the film The Avengers. The Helicarrier measures over 11” (29cm) high, 31” (80cm) long and 17” (45cm) wide. The set is packed with a whole lot of items as it features 3 microscale Quinjets, 3 fighter jets, a gasoline truck, 2 forklift trucks, 2 runways and 4 road blockades. One drawback is that not all of the Avengers are included as minifigures, but the missing agents are probably away on a mission. The set will go on sale in March 1 for $349 in the US, but VIP members will be able to get their hands on starting from February 17. After assembling the Helicarrier, you may derive satisfaction by destroying it in shambles as seen in the movie.
