Apple announced the upcoming release of the newest addition to the HomePod family, the HomePod mini. As one might guess from the name, at just 3.3 inches tall, it’s a smaller smart speaker than the HomePod, which launched more than two years ago. Its elegant shape is wrapped in a perfectly seamless mesh fabric that is virtually transparent to the sound passing through it. A backlit touch surface on the top provides quick control.
HomePod mini has features customers want in a smart speaker — it offers an impressive 360 degree sound, the intelligence of Siri, smart home capabilities, and it’s designed with privacy and security in mind. Working effortlessly with the iPhone to hand off music, answer calls, or deliver personalized listening suggestions, the HomePod mini elevates the sound from Apple TV, plays music from a Mac, and so much more. Multiple Apple HomePod mini speakers work together to stream music or podcasts to multiple rooms, all in perfect sync. The mini can also be used as an intercom if you use multiple units throughout the home. The HomePod mini comes in two colors, space gray and white, and is available to order on November 6, and will start shipping the week of November 16.
