In a collaborative project with Anglepoise, the Type 75 lamp now has a new Paul Smith Edition 6, which builds on the classic Edition 5 design. British designer, Paul Smith, applies his creative touches to this traditional yet modern lamp. The lamp features a trademark 1970s silhouette with a modern take, adding modernity and simplicity. The Anglepoise Type 75 Desk Lamp Paul Smith Edition 6 adheres to the designer’s “classic with a twist” values in this re-imagined desk lamp.
Only the Edition Five and Edition Six lamps have the trademark Paul Smith Artist Stripe added to enhance the classic Sir Kenneth Grange Type 75 lamp design. The lamp features a softer, milk-white color with a graduated stripe. Compared to the Edition Five lamp, Edition Six offers a softer alternative to the bold original. The sophisticated lamp features a satin-painted finish and aluminum shade. The base is made of durable and sturdy cast iron, covered in cohesive aluminum. Fittings are made of black nickel, and the lamp includes an integrated shade switch. Overall the lamp measures 26 inches from the base to the shade. The diameter of the base is 7.9 inches, and the cord length is 78.7 inches. The new Anglepoise Type 75 Desk Lamp Paul Smith Edition 6 will look great in just about any room. The lamp is currently available online and is priced at $460.00.
