Amalgam has been creating upscale model cars since 1995, and recently the company added has a Ferrari Daytona SP3 Limited Edition 1:8 Scale Model to its offerings. This new Ferrari Daytona SP3, limited to 199-piece, is designed to pay homage to Ferrari’s mid-rear-engine V12s and the spirit of the 1960’s golden era prototypes. Amalgam says the heart of the car is its F140HC internal combustion engine, the most powerful engine Ferrari has ever built. This mid-rear-mounted naturally aspirated V12 delivers up to 840 CVs, adopting the architecture and inheriting the upgrades of the F140HB sported in the 812 Competition. The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is handcrafted and finished in Amalgam workshops using CAD from Ferrari’s design office.
Amalgam says using the original designs allows its designers to recreate details at scale. Not only that, but the prototype model was approved by Ferrari’s engineering and design teams, ensuring accurate representation. The design driven Icona series celebrates Ferrari’s history by reinterpreting the most iconic cars. The Daytona SP3 finds its inspiration in legendary Ferrari cars from the golden era of closed-wheel motorsport, featuring a fluid shape and effortless aesthetic. Amalgam is known as the premiere maker of high-end 1:8 scale models, with particular attention to detail and a focus on creating models that capture the automobile’s style and spirit. The Ferrari Daytona SP3 can be purchased through Amalgam’s website for $15,200.
