Independent coachbuilder Zagato unveiled a new one-off vehicle based on an Alfa Romeo Giulia. This commissioned car is dubbed the Alfa Romeo Giulia SWB Zagato, and its bespoke design commands your attention and affection. Moreover, this car serves as a celebration of Alfa Romeo’s and Zagato’s 100th anniversary since their first collaboration with the Tipo G1.

The building process started in 2021 with a manual Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. The car’s wheelbase was shortened from a four-door sedan to a two-door coupe. Moreover, Zagato upgraded its factory drivetrain to Alfa Romeo GTAm specifications to produce an estimated 532 horsepower. The Alfa Romeo Giulia SWB Zagato shares its DNA with the mass-produced Giulia and Stelvio, but its bodywork and interior are 100 percent unique.

The SWB Zagato’s fascia features aggressively shaped LED headlights, a carbon fiber splitter, a large scudetto grille accompanied by massive bumper intakes, and a sculpted hood. A Quadrifoglio badge can be seen on the car’s front fender, along with side gills and the Zagato emblem. In addition, the car features hidden door handles and a sloping roofline with a signature bubble roof that extends to an inclined rear windshield and ends in a Kamm-tail design.

The Giulia SWB Zagato’s five-spoke center-lock alloy wheels are sourced from GTAm and accented with yellow brake calipers. The interior sees the car retain the Giulia’s dashboard but has been modified with carbon fiber, black leather, and green accents that match the exterior color. Other features include an aluminum shifter, carbon fiber door cards, and a Z emblem integrated into the car’s carbon fiber bucket seats. The mastermind behind the car’s coachbuilding goes to Zagato with support from Alejandro Mesonero, the head of Centro Stile Alfa Romeo, and his team.
