With numerous streaming services opening up in the coming month including both Disney+ and AppleTV, Netflix is looking to ratchet up the programming it offers in order to keep subscribers in the fold. This includes its latest movie — 6 Underground. The film was directed by Michael Bay — the man behind blockbusters including Transformers, Armageddon, and Pearl Harbor. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who penned Deadpool and Zombieland, wrote the screenplay. Producing this Netflix-original movie cost $150 million, so it’s putting considerable trust behind its potential to both maintain viewers and to bring more in.
The 6 Underground Official Trailer just dropped to begin prepping viewers for its December 1 launch. Starring Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Ben Hardy (X-Men Apocalypse and Bohemian Rhapsody) and Melanie Laurent (Inglorious Bastards), 6 Underground is about 6 billionaires who decide to fake their own deaths and then form up their own covert attack squad in order to take out criminals around the world.
