There is potentially good news if you enjoy luxury sedans with long roofs. The 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class made its global debut this week. Details like pricing, confirmed drivetrains, and North American availability are in speculation, but we can confirm that this wagon looks fantastic.
For 2024, the E-Class wagon gains 0.9 of an inch in length and is 1.1 inches wider than its predecessor. This growth spurt translates to more leg and arm room in addition to cargo space to rival its SUV counterparts. Regarding styling, the 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class features a new front grille, and the rear taillights now feature two star-shaped elements. However, it’s the interior that holds all the latest tech goodies.
Inside, the optional Superscreen turns the dashboard into a giant screen consisting of three screens for the driver and passenger. This premium screen is accented with metal switchgear and conditioned leather upholstery. Moreover, the passenger can enjoy watching TikToks or streaming videos on their side of the screen while on the move. As a safety precaution, the screen’s content is blocked from the driver’s side of the screen to prevent distraction.
Another interior feature is the optional Active Ambient Lighting package which can sync the color lighting effect with the beat of the music to create a personal nightclub experience. As for powertrains, we can only assume the 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class wagon will feature the updated 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six with a 48-volt hybrid system producing 375 horsepower. Of course, you can’t have a new Mercedes-Benz wagon without an AMG-tuned variant follow-up. However, we’ll have to wait until later in the year to learn all the details.
