Porsche unveiled a new variant for the Macan lineup. This new model sits between the entry-level Porsche Macan and the Macan S and is called the Porsche Macan T. This trim level focuses on delivering optimal handling performance options, like Active Suspension Management and launch control as standard. Moreover, the new Macan T is the first four-door Porsche for the brand to get the ‘T’ for touring nameplate.
The 2023 Porsche Macan T features the same four-cylinder engine as the base model, a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine producing 261-hp and 295 lb.-ft of torque. The Macan T manages its power using a seven-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission and standard all-wheel drive. As part of the Touring spec, the Macan T comes standard with Porsche’s Sport Chrono Package, and its all-wheel-drive system is tuned to be rear-biased. In addition, Porsche claims the Macan T is 129-pounds lighter than the V6 powered Macan. Buyers who opt for the optional air suspension also receive stiffer anti-roll bars. Another available option is Porsche’s torque-vectoring package.
The 2023 Porsche Macan T features Agate Gray Metallic accent colors on its exterior trim and side mirrors to stand out in the lineup. In addition, a set of 20-inch titanium wheels is exclusive to the T-spec Macan. Inside, standard interior equipment on the Macan T includes a heated GT steering wheel and silver stitching on the seats with a Porsche crest embossed on the seat’s headrest. The new Porsche Macan T is expected to go on sale in spring 2022.
