Kia has updated the Soul for the 2023 model year. The 2023 Kia Soul features cleaner exterior styling with single headlight configuration and redesigned front bumper. At the back, the rear taillights have also been redesigned. Changes for 2023 include the addition of two optional packages, two-tone color options, and new wheel designs. However, Kia dropped the X-Line and turbocharged engine option from the Soul’s lineup.
The engine available for the 2023 Kia Soul is a naturally-aspirated 2.0-liter four-banger producing 147-hp and 132 lb.-ft of torque. Kia dropped the manual transmission option this year, so the only transmission is a CVT automatic sending power to the front wheels. The new LX Technology Package includes Blind Spot Collision Avoidance and Rear Cross Collision Avoidance, and 16-inch wheels. The higher-tier GT-Line Technology Package features the previous and adds radar and camera sensors to further improve its Front Collision-Avoidance Assist and includes Smart Cruise Control.
Interior changes include a 10.25-inch infotainment screen and high-gloss trim for models like the GT-Line and GT-Line Tech. Other options included in top-tier equipped Kia Souls are a Harmon/Kardon audio system, heated front seats, and a dual-level cargo floor. Pricing for the 2023 Kia Soul will be announced closer to its launch in fall 2022.
