Kia has released details on the all new fourth generation of the 2021 Kia Sedona aka the Kia Carnival minivan. The outgoing model has been in production since 2014 so it was time for a refresh for Kia’s only people carrier. This new model wears a more serious face. It features Kia’s signature “tiger nose” front chrome trimmed grille with angular headlights and following the trend of incorporated LED daytime running lights. The 2021 Sedona’s wheelbase has been stretched. Kia calls the Sedona a “Grand Utility Vehicle”. The A and B pillars are painted black to give the impression of a floating roof held just by the C pillar. The rear end now features a full width LED light bar that travels across the tailgate.

Kia has not released a lot of details on the 2021 Sedona. No interior shots or pricing. Engine options have not been made available either. Rumor has it that one of the engine options could be Kia’s 2.5-liter turbocharged four cylinder making 277 horsepower. A hybrid option featuring a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with a 1.5 kWh lithium battery producing 277 horsepower can also be expected. Being a 2021 model means we won’t have to wait long for further detail on the 2021 Sedona.
