Genesis has teased the new look it will bring to its flagship sedan in recent months. The GV80 unleashed Genesis’ quad lamp design, highlighting some of the features to look out for in forthcoming releases. The 2021 Genesis G80 takes on that element from the company’s luxury SUV along with the same five-spoked silver-finished rims and turn signals positioned behind the wheels. The newest G80 also features an upgraded 2.5-liter inline-four engine that turns out 300 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque. An even more powerful 375 hp turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 will also be available.
The enhanced performance of the newest G80 can be comfortably enjoyed behind the four-spoke steering wheel inside its luxurious cabin. A 14.5-inch display infotainment system sits front and center. Commands can be issued by a touch-and-wright controller, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto being two of the standard features to take full advantage of. The 12.3-inch 3D digital instrument cluster is elegantly encompassed by leather, aluminum, and leather accents throughout the spacious interior. Inside and out, the 2021 Genesis G80 will showcase its new features across showroom floors around the world in the second half of the year.
