It seems you cannot have a successful new vehicle launch without a suspiciously timed leak a few days before the official debut. The latest example is the new 2022 BMW M5 CS, which will be the powerful production version of the iconic Bavarian sports saloon. Earlier in the week, Instagram viewers had a glimpse of photos of the new BMW M5 CS modeling its motorsport-inspired yellow-tinted headlights and copper accents. What is known about the M5 CS at the moment is that the car flexes a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8, tuned to produce 627 horsepower. Its crash diet shaves 155 pounds off its curb weight and the car sports a set of carbon fiber bucket seats, taken from the BMW M4, for front and rear passengers.
Until the 2022 BMW M5 CS official debut, which BMW stated would happen sometime before the end of January, all other details about the car’s performance are speculation. For example, it is reasonable to assume the M5 CS will offer standard all-wheel-drive, track-inspired tuned suspension, carbon-fiber galore, and disc brakes powerful enough to stop the Earth’s rotation. With only a few days left in the month, we assume the 2021 BMW M5 CS’s official debut will happen by the end of the week.
