After teasing us with a concept, Mercedes-Benz has finally revealed its highly anticipated compact SUV, the GLB. The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB follows in the footsteps of the rapidly expanding portfolio of A and B-Class vehicles, cramming it with tech and features that even the company’s most luxurious S-Class doesn’t have. An entry level model to Mercedes’ ever-expanding SUV lineup, the GLB also offers three rows of seating, making this compact SUV even more desirable for young, growing families.

Initially, the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB will come in just one trim level that features a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four, which churns out 221 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The singular transmission is an eight-speed offering that motivates the front wheels, although you can spring for 4MATIC all-wheel drive. The Mercedes-Benz GLB features all the same tech that we’ve seen in the recent A-Class and CLA-Class models, such as the MBUX infotainment system that’s controlled via a 10.25-inch touchscreen.

Expect pricing to be competitive for a vehicle wearing the three-pointed star, but like other German vehicles, being overzealous with the options list may result in some sticker shock.
