Every decade has its signature supercar, like the Ferrari F40 of the 1980s and the McLaren F1 in the 90s. The Porsche Carrera GT was a star supercar during the 2000s. Less than 1,300 Carrera GT were built from 2004 to 2007, of which 644 of them came to the U.S. At the start of 2022, low mileage examples of the Carrera GT are starting to roll across auction blocks. The latest one is this Seal Gray Metallic 2005 Porsche Carrera GT with 182 miles on the odometer.

The car is set to be auctioned by Mecum from March 16th through the 19th. It seems criminal to own a car of this caliber for nearly 20 years and never drive it. However, it makes more sense when you consider another low-mileage Porsche Carrera GT that was recently sold on Bring A Trailer in January for a cool two million. This Carrera GT is nearly identical but with even fewer miles. The Seal Gray Metallic paint makes it one of 64 models painted the same color. Its Terracotta leather interior features magnesium trim, and the five-spoke wheels sport yellow brake calipers. It will be interesting to see if this 2005 Porsche Carrera GT sells for a  higher price. The Mecum auction runs from March 16th and ends on March 19th.
