Hyundai revealed the 2024 Santa Fe a few weeks before its official debut to give the internet a visual taste of what’s in store. At first glance, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe requires a double take as the SUV has shed its curvy exterior and evolved into a more contemporary look that simultaneously manages to look fresh and nostalgic.
This new generation sports a longer wheelbase than the current Santa Fe. The former narrow LED headlights, massive grille, and sloped front end are now straight-lined within a squared-jaw fascia with H-pattern lights. The profile and silhouette of the SUV are boxy, with a roofline that barely slopes down at the rear and a flat tailgate. These new exterior dimensions will improve rear cargo space and make headroom for the new third-row option.
Inside, press photos show upscale Nappa leather upholstery and aesthetics that makes one think of premium SUV brands like Land Rover. We also see a dual 12.3-inch screen on the dashboard with two wireless charging pads in the center console.
Details are slim until the official unveiling, but a small badge on the Santa Fe’s “2.5T HTRAC” confirms that a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-four with all-wheel-drive could be the standard drivetrain. We expect the Hybrid powertrain and XRT trim level to continue in the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe. The official unveiling should be sometime in August.
