Who wouldn’t want to take a spin a F-22 Raptor? Widely regarded as the dominant fighter jet in operation today, the 5th Generation F-22 has demonstrated unprecedented performance capabilities in combat situations, defeating both air-based and ground-based threats with exceptional stealth, speed, agility, and precision.
To honor the high-performance and pure excitement of the F-22, Ford Motor Company design manager Melvin Betancourt and DeBerti Design owner Brad DeBerti have crafted a Ford F-150 F-22 Raptor concept model that recently commanded $300,000 at auction. This incredible truck features custom carbon fiber fender flares, a roof-mounted light bar, power retractable side steps, and an eye-catching titanium front grille that incorporates an F-22 Raptor in silhouette. The truck is powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that has been tuned to engender significant increases in horsepower and torque. Its interior is defined by two-tone leather seats with F-22 inspired accents and a 1,500-watt Kicker audio system.
Although this Ford F-150 F-22 Raptor concept truck presents the perfect opportunity for a would-be jet fighter to live out his unrequited dreams of air dominance, the truck sold to someone who already has close ties to the F-22. The truck’s proud owner, Gary Ackerman of Las Vegas, serves as Honorary Commander/Ambassador for the Air Force’s F-22 Squadron at Nevada’s Nellis Airforce Base.
