Tyler, the Creator has returned to the Converse 1908 archive with four low-top sneakers that treat familiar models as working material rather than untouchable icons. Scheduled for July 16, the collection comprises two reworked Pro Leather colorways and two leather versions of the 1908 Jogger, extending the GOLF le FLEUR* partnership beyond the Chuck Taylor silhouettes most closely associated with Converse.

The new 1908 Pro Leather shifts the 1970s basketball shoe toward the heavier proportions of early-2010s skate footwear. Its widened toe box, enlarged eyelet rows, thick laces, and rubber toe cap give the low-top a broader, more grounded profile. Converse’s familiar star-chevron mark is reduced to a large embossed star at the toe, turning a recognizable piece of branding into a structural detail.

One version places green suede panels over a white leather foundation with a natural ivory sole. The Amazon colorway reverses that balance, combining green suede with white leather accents, purple laces, and a deliberately aged-looking midsole. Neither version attempts a historically exact restoration. The Pro Leather’s basketball lineage remains visible, but its proportions now speak more clearly to skate and streetwear references.
The 1908 Jogger takes a quieter approach. Both colorways replace the silhouette’s traditional nylon-and-suede construction with full-grain tumbled leather. The black version uses brown and off-white detailing, while the white edition adds pale blue branding and cream-toned accents. A foam midsole and sawtooth rubber outsole preserve the archival runner’s low, athletic stance, while Ortholite cushioning updates its everyday comfort. Metallic GOLF le FLEUR* branding appears on the medial and lateral sides as well as the sock liner.
The restrained treatment recalls the hospitality-minded JJJJound and Vans collaboration, where proportion, material, and context carried more weight than conspicuous co-branding. Tyler’s Converse collection is more colorful, but it operates on similar logic: familiar shapes are altered through a few deliberate decisions rather than covered in additional graphics.
All four shoes are scheduled to release on July 16 through Converse and GOLF le FLEUR*. The Pro Leather colorways are priced at $95 each, while the two limited-edition 1908 Joggers are $115. Converse lists the U.S. launch for 10 a.m. EDT.
The collection’s strongest idea is proportion. By widening the basketball shoe and giving the runner a more substantial leather upper, Tyler creates two distinct contemporary silhouettes without obscuring the athletic designs that made them recognizable.
