German luxury bag and accessory brand TSATSAS has collaborated with renowned architect David Chipperfield to create the SUIT-CASE, an elegant, hand-luggage-sized suitcase. With offices located around the globe, Chipperfield travels frequently and has always been in search of a piece of luggage that would serve his needs, but to no avail. In 2017, he met with the founders of TSATSAS to begin the work of designing a carry-on bag that would enable the owner to pack everything needed for a four-to-five-day trip, including a suit. In 2020, the SUIT-CASE was born.

The SUIT-CASE is constructed from wood fiber, a biodegradable and emission-free material. This is then covered with calfskin leather from a gold-certified German tannery. The interior is lined with soft lamb Nappa leather combined with natural canvas. The SUIT-CASE’s exterior is free from any unnecessary detailing with nothing visible other than slender zip closures and a tonal silver logo. The interior, though just as spare, is as functional and thought through as it gets. Divided into two sections protected by a zipped canvas cover, it has one for regular garments with enough extra space for a pair of shoes and another engineered to carry a suit fixed to a detachable brass coat hanger. With a trim zip pocket in the front that provides a convenient space for a laptop, boarding pass, and passport, you can hit the road knowing that all you need is in one convenient place.
