The rise in popularity of IKEA furniture reshaped consumer expectations and the desire for a more customizable approach to home interior design. This ability to create bespoke living spaces has been fully embraced in the new Fort Standard’s Strata Storage and Shelving core collection, bringing together four distinct sets of furniture with an inherently modular design.

The collection consists of the Strata Hutch, Credenza, Low Shelf, and Desk, delivering a sense of unity through its combination of materials and uniform circular holes throughout each design. Fort Standard’s team of craftsmen at their Greenpoint, Brooklyn facility makes each unit to order using white oak, powder-coated perforated panels, and durable mottled nickel rods.

This customizable approach to design and integration extends throughout the Fort Standard’s Strata Storage and Shelving collection. For example, the Strata desk can be upgraded to include everything from file drawers and pull-out trays, with the option to add a thermal-controlled fan or integrated power units. Customers can change the finish of the perforated panels to their taste across the collection, switching up the metallic finish and patina to match their homes.

With this level of flexibility, the Fort Standard’s Strata Storage and Shelving collection can be fine-tuned to match any interior design and room orientation, with a near-endless combination of potential arrangements. Large custom hutches can be organized to fill entire walls, while the smaller five-bay Credenza is ideal for supporting large televisions and hi-fi setups.

Customers can request a quote from Fort Standard for any of the pieces in the Strata Storage and Shelving collection.
