Founded in 2018, Terrain 365 has been making a name for itself in the EDC and wilderness-essentials departments. Responding to customer demand, the company has just released a folding pocket knife spun off its popular Barlow-style Otter Slipjoint. The Terrain 365 Otter Flip-AT, shares the Slipjoint’s profile while offering a flipper tab for easy one-handed opening and a titanium pocket clip for secure carry. Those features, according to Terrain 365 co-founder and creative director Patrick Ma, had been requested by more than one fan of the Otter Slipjoint, and the toolmaking brand took the suggestions to heart, it seems.
Available in two different contoured handles — a billet titanium framelock model or a G10 scaled design in OD Green — the Terrain 365 Otter Flip-AT wears its “AT” (as in “All Terrain”) tag proudly: The rustproof, nonmagnetic Terravantium blade is designed to hold up to use both on land and on the water. The dendritic-cobalt blade, three inches long and 0.115 inches thick, shows a classy and versatile Modern Modified Spear Point shape. Beefed up with titanium liners, titanium hardware, and ceramic bearings, this folder ought to draw the eye of campers, hunters, anglers, river runners, and just about any other outdoors person keen for a pocket knife that packs plenty of muscle and durability into a mere three ounces or so.
