TAG Heuer just dropped the hammer on nostalgia and innovation with its latest release—the Monaco Chronograph × Gulf. This limited-edition timepiece marks the brand’s celebrated return as the Official Timekeeper of Formula 1 and its new role as title sponsor of the Monaco Grand Prix. Built with bead-blasted Grade 2 titanium, the 39mm square case channels the grit of the racetrack while nodding to TAG Heuer’s iconic motorsport roots.

This new version adds a fresh twist, inspired by Steve McQueen’s legendary Gulf-liveried Porsche 917K in Le Mans and the Monaco watch he wore on screen. The dial sports the classic Gulf blue and orange stripes over a silver grain finish, mimicking McQueen’s race suit. Black sub-dials, brushed indexes, and an orange seconds hand modernize the vintage vibe. Inside beats the Caliber 11 automatic movement, featuring a 59-jewel configuration that delivers a 40-hour power reserve.

Beyond the watch itself, the strap is a strong point. TAG throws in a classic blue leather strap with orange stitching—and a white Nomex strap, the same fire-resistant material used in real racing suits. This is the most technical Monaco yet, pairing motorsport heritage with state-of-the-art design.

Priced at $9,550, this timepiece is more than a watch—it’s a wearable pit pass to the past and future of racing.
