The Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4 is a timepiece that is also a statement piece. The latest in a line of wearable OS watches, it features a 42mm case or an alternative 45mm case. That 3mm difference makes all the difference, resulting in a sleek silhouette in the slimmer model that complements a man’s sensibilities for modesty. The crown is more pronounced, with “fun” push buttons that have been redesigned for better ergonomics. The more diminutive model sports thinner bezels and comes in steel, while the larger model exudes a sporty, rugged appearance and comes with the option of a black titanium case.

Also making its debut in this new Tag Heuer model is the fitness experience, which includes seven-minute exercise routines developed by fitness coaching experts and illustrated with videos created through motion capture to give a true sense of the body. According to Tag Heuer, “For most of our users, [change] starts with small things like calories or daily steps. That’s why we wanted to launch the fitness aspect, because, after the COVID-19 pandemic, many have stayed sedentary, with gyms closed. We thought it was the perfect time to do this since you can do [a seven-minute routine] between two calls and get that little boost of energy.”

The launch also introduces a variety of new watch faces, like the animated “Riverside” effect that artistically interprets the elapsing of time, while the “Wellness” watch face provides live updates on daily activities, such as displaying your heart rate and step counts. Both models are safely housed beneath sapphire glass and offer up to 50 meters of water resistance. The larger model touts a 30% longer battery life. The smaller Tag Heuer model comes with a no-nonsense full day’s battery life, including a one-hour sport session. Three strap choices are available for both models, and it has to be said that all of the strap options would be suitable for either model. The Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4 is set to go on March 10th.
