The new Shadow Project Collection for Spring/Summer 2022 Chapter 1 has just been unveiled by Stone Island. Two chapters will be contained in the collection, both of which explore how man-made materials meld with natural performing materials to compose shape and maintain protection. This is nothing new for Stone Island, as progressive and extensive research along with fabric experimentation has been at the forefront of the brand’s design philosophy since its inception in 1982. Chapter 1 of the brand’s newest collection is now available and it plays on the idea of Spring as the transitional season.
Perhaps the brand’s most transitional, relaxed, and at ease collection, Shadow Project’s Chapter 1 offers a palette of greens, pinks, beige hues, orange, and black in a range of garments. From parkas and jackets to crewnecks and tees, all blend natural performance textiles with man-made, offering protection from whatever the natural elements throw at them. In addition, the pants this season have a noticeably more relaxed fit, with a wider silhouette that screams ease and comfort. All of the collection’s items represent two of Stone Island’s primary focuses – utility and sportswear. Using an array of technical materials ranging from water-repellent Gore-Tex to lightweight linen gauze bonded to a glossy outer polyurethane film, Stone Island transforms its garments into anything but ordinary.
