Sonos introduces the company’s first battery-powered speaker that takes their sound outside of the home with the Sonos Move. Not only is it their first portable speaker, it’s also their first foray into the world of Bluetooth audio streaming, while maintaining full integration with existing Sonos systems, including their latest collaboration with IKEA.
Finished in black, the sleekly-designed speaker is also rugged enough for outdoor use, withstanding most of what nature can throw at it in addition to an IP56 rating. The battery allows up to ten hours of continuous play from a single charge, with a power reserve of up to five days. Smart features like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa are built in, while AirPlay 2 and more than 100 streaming services are also available.
Set to hit retailers on September 24, the Sonos Move comes with a price tag of $399.
