In the world of classic sports cars, it’s tough to beat a Porsche 911 Carrera, unless it’s a 911 Carrera that has been rebuilt by RWB (RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF), a celebrated Japanese aftermarket tuner that specializes exclusively in Porsches.
Currently up for bid through the online automotive auction platform Bring a Trailer, this 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera was fitted with an 8-piece widebody kit by RWB’s Akira Nakai and repainted a brilliant Guards Red. The interior was entirely renovated to match with upholstery of red tartan.
Other special features of this unique vehicle include a ducktail rear spoiler (of course), front strut tower bracing, bi-xenon HID headlights with RWB-etched housings, 935-style mirrors, and 18-inch Forgestar wheels with black barrels and semi-gloss black centers. Its 217 hp 3.2L flat-six and G50 transaxle are of original stock, but the engine has been fitted with upper and lower Rennline billet aluminum valve covers.
