Rolls-Royce has released photos of its latest one-off commissioned vehicle. This Rolls-Royce Phantom Extended received custom paint and interior work to create a rolling work of art that provokes a sense of tranquility – if you’re a fan of orchids. As you would expect, the owner of the Rolls-Royce Phantom Orchid is unknown. All we know is that Singapore’s national flower, a hybrid orchid called the Vanda Miss Joaquin, inspired the theme of this Rolls-Royce.

According to Rolls-Royce, the owner had to wait two years for their custom Phantom to be finished. The Rolls-Royce Phantom Orchid required a team of artists and designers led by UK-based textile designer Helen Amy Murray. One needs to stand close to fully appreciate the detail in the Phantom Orchid’s exterior paintwork. Starting with a base of Arctic While paint topped with a layer of light Violet tint featuring tiny glass flakes to provide a pearlescent effect. The car’s profile olive-colored coachline starts at the peak of the front fender and travels to the rear door. A hand-painted orchid can be seen near the front door.

Inside the Rolls-Royce Phantom Orchid, the upholstery combines Grace White, Havana, and Smoke Grey colored leather with Dark Olive stitching. Unfortunately, Rolls-Royce did not release photos showing the whole interior. What we do see is the Phantom Orchid’s main design details. The dashboard displays the car’s centerpiece, a gallery of silk art of hand-sculpted flowers.

This dashboard gallery reportedly took 200-hours of labor to complete. It required a process of illustrating the design, which was converted into a digital version to be printed onto a silk crepe satin. Murray then hand-sculpted the flowers with layers of printed silk. The results are not only beautiful but create a 3D effect. The Rolls-Royce Phantom Orchid also features front-seat-mounted picnic tables in piano black with silver inlays displaying an orchid design. Rolls-Royce did not disclose the price of the Phantom Orchid. However, when ordering a custom RR, if you have to ask for the price, you probably can’t afford it.
