For fans of historic Group B cars, there is nothing quite like a Lancia. The Italian brand’s Delta model was the most successful model to compete on the rally circuit.

With the availability of this 1986 Lancia Delta S4 Stradale fans of this super car can rejoice. Offered for sale by Jean Lain Vintage in France, the metallic grey coupe with red interior has only 487 miles on its clock.

Due to Group B sports car racing regulations in the 1980s, manufacturers were required to produce at least 200 units of their models. Thus Lancia began production of the Delta S4 in 1984 to compete with the likes of Audi, Ford, and Peugeot who were also on the rally circuit. In those efforts, this Stradale version is one of the road going models that Lancia produced between 1985 and 1986.

This particular model is equipped with a tubular chassis, much like the structure of the Lancia 037. Its engine was designed by Giorgio Pianta, an engineer who took great care to place the volumetric compressor and the turbocompressors. The car itself is in mint condition with incredibly low miles on it, making it an ideal choice for a rally car enthusiast or a vintage automobile collector alike.
