Ressence has unveiled its latest colorway for the Type 8S (“S” is for sage), which embodies the brand’s contemporary approach to fine watchmaking. The sixth distinct family of watches from Ressence, the Type 8 has been designed with the same functional relevance that defines all Ressence watches. Clarity, simplicity, and ergonomics are at the core of its design, which perfectly illustrates the brand’s confident and contemporary vision.
Crafted entirely in grade five titanium, the 42.9mm Type 8 has a sleek and hyper-modern case that contributes to an extremely light overall weight of just 42 grams, including the strap with a titanium buckle. The sandwich-style construction of the tapered case has a two-tone finish, showcasing both polished and satin finishing textures. With no apparent lugs, the strap appears to grow invisibly out of the case, creating a clean and integrated look.
The watch features a domed sage green dial that has been graphically simplified to indicate only the hours and minutes, with no text or numbers. The revolutionary Ressence Orbital Convex System (ROCS) display comprises rotating discs set into the same plane, presenting the time with perfect clarity from any angle. The automatic movement is set and wound by rotating the caseback which offers 36 hours of power reserve and ticks at 4 Hz. The hands and the hour and minute scales are picked out in SuperLuminova for low-light legibility. The Type 8S is available now via Ressence’s official retailer network for $13,500.
