The result of generations upon generations of whiskey-making “Roberts” (founder William Mitchell honored his best friend with a decree that all first born males in his family shall be named “Robert”), Spot Whiskies knows a thing or two about traditional distilling practices.
The company’s latest creation, the Red Spot Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey honors a recipe with records that date back to the early 20th century. This unique spirit begins as a triple-distilled, single pot still Irish whiskey of exceptional quality. But Spot Whiskies takes things to a whole new level during the maturation process. Each bottle of Red Spot is aged at least 15 years in a precise combination of casks that have been pre-seasoned with bourbon as well as Oloroso sherry and Marsala fortified wine. The result is a whiskey with a full-bodied whiskey with an incredibly “complex and characterful” combination of flavors.
