Casio recently dropped the rag & bone x Casio A1000D, celebrating the apparel and accessory brand’s 20th anniversary. This collaboration between the two companies combines innovative watch design with their “brand of downtown cool”. The Fall 2022 launch features two new timepieces – the A1000RCG-8B with a matte gray ion-plated case and the A1000RCB-1 with a matte black ion-plated case.
The new watches take inspiration from one of Casio’s first digital watches, the 1974 digital A1000 from the company’s archives. This newest iteration boasts an LCD screen in the center, clearly displaying the time and several additional functions, such as an alarm, the date, and a stopwatch. Three easy-to-reach buttons on the case’s sides control all the settings.
The case, bezel, and band are stainless steel, with a one-touch tri-fold clasp. Additionally, the rag & bone x Casio A1000D is water resistant, with a power supply and battery life of about three years, according to the company. Casio says the rag & bone x Casio A1000D collaboration showcases both brands’ commitment to functional and timeless design. Since 2002, rag & bone has seen commercial success internationally. The company combines its English heritage with directional design. rag & bone has built a brand that is synonymous with wearable clothing; it is an edgy, understated New York aesthetic for men and women, featuring denim, footwear, and accessories. The watches are available now on Casio’s website.
