Pro-Ject has always billed itself as an alternative to the rise of digital music formats, providing audiophiles with the best analog experience for their growing vinyl collections. The latest release, the Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2 Turntable, presents another appealing model to sway music lovers away from streaming services and appreciate the warm sonic textures of vinyl records.
Building on the core foundations that have helped make their turntables so widely respected, Pro-Ject’s Debut EVO 2 Turntable is handmade with precise engineering for optimal performance. Fitted with a TPE damped and anti-magnetic platter to minimize unwanted resonances, it incorporates a massive, precise CNC milled alu tonearm bearing block to ensure smooth vinyl playback.
The Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2 Turntable also comes with the manufacturer’s new Pick it MM EVO cartridge for accurate audio reproduction and fidelity. The counterweight also includes a TPE damping ring, typically reserved for Pro-Ject’s high-end players. This ring provides exceptional balance to the tonearm and improves the already impressive anti-skating performance.
The 8,6” one-piece carbon tonearm design keeps weight to a minimum. The tonearm delivers smooth movement thanks to the aluminum bearing’s precise CNC milling. Pro-Ject’s overall design is on par with its reliable performance standards and streamlined design, with an RCA output box and power socket built into the plinth.
With a new satin red wine color option, in addition to green, black, and other color variations, the Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2 Turntable design is as visually striking as its audio performance.
