To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the adidas Superstar, Prada is tailoring a commemorative edition of the flagship sneaker. This version stays true to adidas’ original design but adds a touch of luxury that is synonymous with the Prada name. The Italian-made Prada for adidas Limited Edition will be held to a release of just 700 pairs, each of which is embossed with a serial number to guarantee its authenticity.
The collaboration aims to fuse fashion and sport in a manner that pays homage to the heritage of each brand. The classic adidas design is kept intact but taken up a notch thanks to Prada’s Spazzolato Rois full-grain leather. The sneaker isn’t the only piece created by this partnership. Prada will also introduce the Prada Bowling bag for adidas. This bag synthesizes the designs of the Prada original along with design elements from adidas gym bags. Those 2 limited-edition releases of this collection seek to write a new chapter in each iconic brand’s history.
