To pay tribute to fathers on their special day, Piaget is presenting three new timepieces: A Piaget Polo Chronograph Limited Edition that, for the very first time, comes on a rubber strap; a Piaget Polo Chronograph adorned with diamonds; and a Piaget Altiplano Automatic that showcases the Maison’s long-standing expertise in the art of ultra-thin movements. Since its creation in 1979, the Piaget Polo has been recognized as a cool go-to luxury sports watch. Powered by Piaget’s 1160P chronograph movement, the Piaget Polo Chronograph comes with all the essential functions needed in a sports watch with the hours and minutes, a date, and the chronograph seconds, minutes, and hours. The beautifully crafted dial features a silvered dial with two deep blue chronograph counters that give it its “Panda” nickname. The hands and indexes are enhanced with SuperLuminova to increase the legibility of this sporty timepiece in low light.
The Piaget Polo comes in a 42mm stainless steel case that is highly recognizable thanks to its cushion shape surrounded by a round bezel. Turn the watch over and the movement reveals a matching blue oscillating weight that is the same hue as the blue “Panda” chronograph counters. The timepiece is fitted with a sporty blue rubber strap, a first for the Polo Collection, and is limited to 888 pieces. A second Piaget Polo Chronograph version is available coated in diamonds for the father who loves some added shine to his watch. The timepiece comes in a 42mm 18K white gold case that is paved with diamonds on the dial, the bezel, and the case. On the bezel, the diamonds are graduated in size to emphasize the iconic cushion shape. There are 480 diamonds in total for approximately 3.96 cts. The timepiece comes with a blue alligator strap for a particularly elegant and sporty look.
When Piaget originally released the Altiplano Ultimate 910P in 2018, it was available in pink gold and white gold with a black PVD-coated peripheral oscillating weight and matching black dial for the hours and minutes. The 2021 Altiplano Ultimate Automatic is also crafted in 18k white gold but has a striking excentered blue dial at 10 o’clock and a beautiful view of the movement. In spite of the watch’s thinness, the dial has incredible depth thanks to a reverse assembly of the bridges on the dial side of the watch. The watch is worn on a thin and elegant blue alligator leather strap with a white gold ardillon buckle to match the style found on the dial.
